Privacy policy
Effective October 22, 2026
In short: Everything you add to HoardSome stays on your device. There are no accounts, no ads and no tracking. The only thing that leaves your phone is a record of your purchase if you subscribe to HoardSome Pro, so the app can tell that your subscription is active.
Who we are
HoardSome is a home organizer app for iPhone and Android. In this policy, “we” means the maker of HoardSome, and “you” means anyone who uses the app or this website.
What the app stores, and where
When you use HoardSome, the things you enter are saved only in the app’s private storage on your device. That includes:
- Items, rooms, spots and notes
- Photos of items, photos of where they are kept, and receipt photos
- Store names, purchase dates, prices, return dates and warranty dates
- Home upkeep tasks and free-trial details, including any cancel links you add
- Your settings, such as whether reminders are on
We have no servers that receive this information, and the app does not send it anywhere. We cannot see it, and we cannot recover it for you. If you delete the app, this information is deleted with it, unless you have made a backup.
Information we do not collect
HoardSome does not ask for your name, email address, phone number or location. It does not use advertising, crash-reporting or tracking tools, and it does not use your data to build a profile of you. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
HoardSome Pro subscriptions
HoardSome Pro is sold through Google Play (and, on iPhone, the App Store). Payment is handled entirely by Google or Apple; we never see your card or bank details.
To check whether your subscription is active, the app uses a service called RevenueCat, which acts on our behalf. When billing is turned on, the app sends RevenueCat a random ID made by the app (not your name or email) and receives your purchase history from the store: which plan you bought, when, whether you are in a free trial and when it renews. We use this only to unlock Pro features, to remind you before a free trial ends, and to see overall subscription numbers. This information is encrypted in transit. It does not include anything you saved in the app.
Permissions the app asks for
- Camera: only when you tap to take a photo of an item, a spot or a receipt. Photos are copied into the app’s private storage.
- Photos: when you choose a picture from your library, the system picker shows only the picture you select. The original in your library is never changed or deleted.
- Notifications: to remind you about returns, warranties, upkeep and free trials. Reminders are scheduled on your device itself; nothing is sent through our servers. You can turn them off in the app’s Settings or in your phone’s settings.
You can say no to any permission. The rest of the app keeps working.
Backups and reports you choose to share
If you tap Back up now or Create PDF report, the app makes a file on your device and opens your phone’s share sheet. You decide where that file goes, for example your email, a cloud drive or another app. Those files contain the information you entered, including photos, so keep them somewhere safe. Once you share a file, the service you share it with handles it under its own privacy policy. We never receive it.
Links to other websites
If you open a cancel link you saved for a free trial, it opens in your web browser. That website is run by someone else and has its own privacy practices.
Children
HoardSome is not directed at children under 13. Because the app does not collect personal data from anyone, it does not knowingly collect data from children.
This website
hoardsome.com does not use cookies, analytics or tracking. It loads its headline font from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google’s servers to download the font; Google’s handling of that request is covered by Google’s privacy policy. Our website host may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure.
Your choices
You are in full control of your data. You can edit or delete any item in the app, turn reminders off, make or delete backups, and remove everything by deleting the app.
Deleting your data
Things you saved in HoardSome (items, photos, receipts, rooms, upkeep tasks and trials) exist only on your phone. To delete them, delete them in the app or uninstall HoardSome. We have no copy, so there is nothing for us to delete.
Subscription records: to ask us to delete the purchase record linked to your HoardSome Pro subscription, email support@hoardsome.com with the subject “HoardSome data deletion request” and, if you can, the order number from your Google Play or App Store receipt. We will delete it within 30 days and confirm by email. Google and Apple keep their own records of your payment under their own privacy policies, and deleting our record does not cancel your subscription; cancel it in Google Play or App Store settings.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, for example because a future version adds a feature that works differently, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
